How to delete your Don't Cook Don't Clean app account and the personal data we hold about you.
From the app
- Open the Don't Cook Don't Clean app and sign in.
- Helpers: tap Profile. Clients: tap Account.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Can't sign in? Use the form below, or email info@dontcookdontclean.in with your registered mobile number.
What happens next
- We check the request is really from you. If you used this form, we call your registered number.
- We close your account. You are signed out of the app and can't sign in.
- For 30 days you can change your mind. Contact us and we'll restore your account.
- After 30 days your personal data is permanently deleted.
If you still have an active service, we'll talk to you about ending it first.
What is deleted
- Your app login and notification settings
- Photos and documents you uploaded: identity documents (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID), certificates, profile photo, and photos attached to support requests
- Identity numbers, bank and UPI details, addresses and location records
- Personal details such as date of birth, family names, references, emergency contacts and health information
What we keep, and why
Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of the services we provided and the money we received or paid. So we keep your name, mobile number and ID number together with your attendance, bills, payments, salary slips, advances and signed agreements, and the text of any support requests. We keep these only as long as the law requires, and never use them for marketing.
